Birth is one of the most significant experiences you may ever have—and you deserve to feel supported, informed, and respected throughout it.
As your birth doula, I'm here to provide continuous emotional, physical, and informational support before, during, and immediately after your birth.
I won't come with a plan for how your birth should happen.
I'll come with an open mind, a calm presence, and the commitment to support you through the birth you're having.
A doula provides continuous, non-medical support during pregnancy, labor, birth, and the immediate postpartum period.
My role is to help you feel prepared before labor begins and supported once it does.
That might mean helping you prepare for different possibilities during pregnancy, offering comfort measures during labor, supporting your partner, helping you communicate your preferences, or simply being the steady person beside you when things feel overwhelming.
You don't have to know exactly what you want before we begin. We can figure it out together.
Our relationship begins before labor.
We'll spend time getting to know each other, talking about your hopes and concerns, and preparing for the experience ahead.
Prenatal support may include:
Getting to know you, your partner, and your support system
Discussing your hopes and preferences for birth
Creating or reviewing a birth preferences document
Talking through common interventions and procedures
Exploring comfort measures and coping techniques
Practicing positions and labor techniques
Discussing different birth scenarios
Preparing your partner for ways they can support you
Answering questions and helping you find reliable information
Talking about the transition into the postpartum period
My goal is for you to walk into labor feeling prepared—not pressured.
When labor begins, I'll be there to support you through the process.
Depending on what you need, my support may include:
Position changes and movement
Counter-pressure and massage
Breathing and relaxation techniques
Comfort measures
Suggestions for positioning and movement
Helping create a calm environment
Encouragement during challenging moments
Reassurance and grounding
Helping you stay connected to your goals
A calm presence when things feel overwhelming
Supporting your partner as they support you
Helping you understand the options you're presented with
Helping you formulate questions for your care team
Reminding you of your preferences when appropriate
Providing evidence-informed information within my scope
I will never make medical decisions for you or speak over your healthcare team.
Instead, I'll help you feel confident asking questions and making informed choices for yourself.
Your partner doesn't have to step aside when you hire a doula.
Quite the opposite.
I want your partner to feel confident, involved, and supported too.
I'll help your partner understand ways they can comfort you, recognize when you may need something different, and feel less like they have to figure everything out on their own.
Sometimes the best thing I can do is support the person supporting you.
We're a team.
Birth can be unpredictable.
Sometimes plans change. Sometimes interventions become necessary. Sometimes the birth you imagined looks completely different from the birth you experience.
That doesn't mean you failed.
My role is not to protect a particular birth plan, my role is to support you through your actual birth experience.
If circumstances change, I'll continue providing the same steady emotional and physical support while helping you process what's happening and stay connected to your choices.
Whether your birth is medicated or unmedicated, vaginal or cesarean, planned or unexpected,
you deserve compassionate support.
My support continues through the immediate postpartum period.
After your baby arrives, I can help create a calm transition into those first moments together and provide emotional support as you begin your new chapter.
We can also take some time to reflect on your experience and make sure you feel supported before I leave.
And if you're looking for continued support after birth, I also offer postpartum and overnight doula care.
A doula is a non-medical support professional.
I don't:
Perform medical examinations
Diagnose medical conditions
Give medical advice
Make decisions for you
Replace your doctor, midwife, or nursing team
Speak for you when you are able and want to speak for yourself
Instead, I work alongside your existing care team while keeping your needs, preferences, and emotional well-being at the center of my support.
Maybe you've dreamed about your birth for years.
Maybe you're nervous and don't know what to expect.
Maybe you're planning an epidural.
Maybe you're hoping for an unmedicated birth.
Maybe you're having a planned cesarean.
Maybe you're still figuring it all out.
There is no single "right" way to give birth.
Wherever you are in your journey, I'm here to support you without judgment and advocate for your needs.
You don't need to have a perfect birth plan or know exactly what you're looking for before reaching out.
Let's have a conversation, get to know each other, and talk about what support could look like for you.
Your birth. Your choices. Your support.
